Scott obtained his BS from the University of Nebraska in 1990 and his Associateship in the Society of
Actuaries in 1993. Scott also became an enrolled actuary in 1995 and is a member of the American Academy of
Actuaries. Scott has serviced the human resource function from several different perspectives. Not only has
Scott serviced benefit plans from a consulting perspective, he has managed benefit plans and vendors from a
plan sponsor’s perspective. This unique combination of experience has proved invaluable to ACS’s ability to
work with effectively and truly understand the client side of the equation.
Scott joined Actuarial Consulting Services, Inc. (ACS) as a partner in 2003. Prior to ACS, Scott worked at
ConAgra Foods, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska and was responsible for management of many of the company’s employee
benefit plans and their vendor relationships. Prior to ConAgra Foods, Scott also worked as a senior consultant
at SilverStone Group and Hewitt Associates. While Scott’s current emphasis is on group benefit plans, he also
has extensive experience with retirement benefit plans.
